Art description:
A painting celebrating erotic love, depicting a man and a woman making love. At the top of the painting there is a verse from the Quran written.

Incident:
The painting "Scene d'Amour," by Louzla Darabi was part of an exhibition at the Museum of World Culture in Gothenburg in Sweden. The exhibtion about AIDS called NO NAME FEVER: AIDS in the age of globalization.

After complaints and threats from Muslims who found the work offensive to there religion the museum removed the painting. The museum argued that the work shifted the focus from HIV and AIDS, which the exhibition was about.

Current status:
The painting was replaced by another work by Darabi, that also contains an erotic scene but without Islamic verses.
